Good Life Center Sensory Room at YSC

Sensory rooms can help to improve focus with the use of specific sensory equipment. The equipment is designed to encourage the person to concentrate on the activity they are doing at that moment. This creates skills which they can then use in real world situations where they need to remain calm and focus on what they are doing.

Welcome to the Sensory Room.

The sensory room was designed to include various stimuli that can help engage and develop your senses. This room was designed with specific lights, colors, sound dampening tiles, and play objects to help you take a break, refocus, or come to a calmer space.

This space is open to all students and we implore you to try out the weighted blankets, games and/or sound-dampening chairs.

This room is also a reservable meeting room space. To book this space for a meeting, please find more information here.

The Sensory Room is located in room 213 on the 2nd floor Annex of Yale Schwarzman Center.
